CII Annual Report

Brief

As the premiere professional body for the insurance and financial services profession, the CII is also a not for profit organisation. In common with all corporate entities, the CII is obliged to publish their annual report and accounts. We were briefed to produce a report that informs the reader of both the past achievements and future plans of the CII in a cohesive way in a single story and to present the CII as a “human” rather than faceless organisation.

Design/Create

The concept was to use imagery throughout the report that featured real people – both staff, members and the wider public – rather than photo library images since they are more natural and relevant to the audience. Having decided on this as a route to tell the CII story, colour palette options were presented to both tie and segment different sections of the report together. The soft colour palette and style of imagery reflect the human side of the organisation.

Once design concepts were approved, we progressed with laying out the report including production in both print and digital formats.

Outcome

An annual report that visually reflected the professional nature of the content whilst reinforcing the personal face of the CII.
