Our Brief

We were briefed by Wilson Tree Surgery (WTS) to help them rebrand their business. The drive behind this was to further develop and strengthen the company’s position in the commercial sector. Having an appropriate brand image was key to communicating the right messages and aspirations of the business.

What we did

Think: Consulting with WTS allowed us to fully understand the current business, the target audiences and sectors they had identified, how it operated as well as the products and services offered. During this consultation we helped WTS rationalise the structure of these so it would be easier to communicate effectly what they did.

By undertaking a brand workshop with key individuals of WTS, we were able to develop a new positioning for the brand that aligned with the aims and objectives of the organisation. This formed the bedrock for ongoing communications to customers and prospects.

Design: Having completed the “Think” stage we were able to apply the brand foundations developed in creating the visual identity for the new brand. Starting with the logo we also reviewed vehicle graphics, workwear, corporate stationery and the company website.

The overall themes that needed to be communicated visually were safety and efficiency which was reflected in the psychological associations with the green, blue and warm grey colour pallet that we developed.

The structure of the website was given careful consideration to ensure that it was clear, clean and professional. A key feature of the website is a large ‘hero’ image, representative of WTS’ working environments, creating an association with both client and prospects whilst simultaneously reassuring them about WTS’ capability. This will be rotated periodically to be represent all of the sectors in which WTS operate.

Create:  Having developed our thinking and explored designs that supported this, we progressed production of artwork for brand collateral and developed the website. The website is a responsive CMS site providing flexibility for it to develop with WTS. Our development process begins with our creating style sheets and bespoke features in the CMS. Once completed, using the CMS, we build the pages adding copy and images.

Outcomes

The updated brand has positioned WTS in a more commercial space, providing them with a platform to move forward into new sectors where customers and prospects will feel confident in doing business with them.
